2007-2008 Season

The Lee County Community Orchestra is a unique ensemble that comprises of about fifty volunteer musicians of all ages (high school and up). I say "unique" since the LCCO is aptly named a "community" orchestra because our talented members come from the community and our concerts are always FREE for the community. Our members consist of advanced high school students, college students, music teachers, non-music community professionals, music professionals, and seniors. We are Sanford's and more broadly, Lee County's orchestra based in Sanford, North Carolina. Funding comes from corporations, individuals, and the Arts Council. Our performance venue is in the restored Tommy Mann Lee County Arts and Community Center. Come check us out!

We rehearse every Tuesday evening at Lee Senior High School from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. to prepare for four programs during the concert season (October, December, March, & May).  If you are interested in playing with the Lee County Community Orchestra, contact either Reinette Seaman, rseaman@wave-net.net or me at dwoertel@hotmail.com.  If you are interested in joining the Association and supporting the arts, go to the Our Support link above or contact Reinette Seaman, rseaman@wave-net.net.

See you at the concert hall!

Musically Yours,

Dr. David Oertel, Music Director
