Lee County Community Orchestra

Welcome to another exciting season with the Lee County Community Orchestra! Last season we traveled around the world to Vienna, Russia, and France. This year, we will be taking a different kind of journey – a journey through THE FOUR ELEMENTS!

We embark on our first journey in October through WATER, featuring music by Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, Saint-Saëns, and Smetana. In December, we’ll come back to shore to discover our musical EARTH, as painted by Mussorgsky, Dvořák, and Hans Zimmer. In celebration of the holidays, we will also perform some music from Handel’s Messiah.

In March we will be floating in AIR with Bach’s Air on a G String and his Keyboard Concerto No.1 in D Minor. At the piano, we will feature Clara Gerdes, a very young and exceptionally talented musician whose agile fingers and musical poise will amaze you. Come May, we will close our season and celebrate the upcoming summer with FIRE music by Handel, Haydn, Stravinsky, and Shostakovich!

So, bring your friends and family as we uncover the musical painting of the four elements! As always, our concerts are free and accessible to all. We look forward to seeing you soon!
